INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

We asked readers on the Grand Concourse if they favored the opening of gambling casinos in New York City.

"I believe that the gambling casinos will add money to New York, tourism to New York, and New York needs all the help it can get."

Joseph Treisman

"I'm afraid it will attract the criminal group. I'm a Christian. That's always foremost on my mind about everything."

Dominick Galdieri

"I have mixed feelings because, on the one hand, it'll generate revenue. On the other hand, gambling has been known to destroy so many people and I'm afraid many lives will be affected because people don't have control over themselves."

Bill Michael

"There's gambling here already anyway, so why not legitimize it and let us get the taxes from the revenue."

Jackie Spina

"I'm opposed to gambling, but in this situation, it's better the money stays here than going to New Jersey."

Jose Rodriguez
