INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked participants and staff at the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center to reflect on the Center's 60 years of service.

"[The Director] is a very caring individual. He knows the community inside out. This place makes an impact on the community  -- and I can't say enough about it."

Barry Schmulson

"There's been a great improvement in the community and in this center. The improvement [at the Center] has caused the community to be improved. They're really a big asset to the community."

Katherine Fontaine

"I've been coming here since daycare. My son has been here, playing ball since he was approximately five-years-old. It helps my son a lot, especially the discipline. They've got great coaches that work with him on how to be a better kid."

Hector Jiminez

"I've been working here more than ten years ... when the center was very small. No, it's just expanded. We don't have enough room to accommodate everybody. There are all races and ethnicities here. It reflects the community."

Aria Blitz

"My kids came to camp here. My daughter worked here. My wife works here now. I've very active here, and it's nice to be able to help the other seniors."

Steve Gold
