Marks a Decade

Photos By H. L. Delgado

The Norwood News marked its tenth anniversary on Oct. 8 with a celebration at the old Reservoir Keeper's House on Williamsbridge Oval, the future home of the paper and its publisher, Mosholu Preservation Corporation.

About 200 friends of the paper attended the event, which featured a Norwood News photo retrospective, a buffet donated by local restauranteurs and music by Norwood resident Ibrahim Gonzalez and his ensemble. Hardhats weren't exactly necessary but toy versions were enthusiastically donned by revelers.

MPC has embarked on a fundraising campaign to restore the building, which will house its own operations as well as offices of the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center. Free conference space for neighborhood groups will also be available.
