"I'm a strict Yankee fan.  I wouldn't mind a subway series, but there's not going to be one, because the Braves are going to kill the Mets."

"[My friends and I] all feel for the Mets because they've tried and worked so hard to get there and they're 'almost there' all the time, and they never quite make it.  So, I think everybody's pulling for them."

"I root for the underdog -- that's the Mets.  The Yanks are going to walk in no problem.  So I go with the underdog and I'm going with the Mets."

Bob Blanks

"New York Yankees.  I've been a fan since 1961, when I was 9 years old.  I'm rooting for the Mets to be in the World Series with the Yankees, but then it's the Yankees all the way."
