INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

Last Saturday, we asked readers at the Jerome-Gun Hill BID Street Festival who they thought would go farther in the playoffs — the Mets or Yankees.

The Mets. They’ve got a deeper team and they might be more hungry than the Yankees. The Yankees have been there before.

Alan Califano

The Mets ran a good stretch this year, but I still believe and have faith in my Yankees. The team as a whole has always been very good, but this year they had problems with injuries. I’m looking forward to these playoffs.

Chris Rivera

I love my Yankees – they’re going to win the World Series. The Mets – they aren’t going to win because Pedro is not doing good [Pedro Martinez is injured and won’t pitch in the playoffs].

Evelyn Torres

The Mets. They’re hungrier. What about the Yankees!? It’s time to show the Yankees who’s in charge in New York.

Mike Debellis

The Yankees – they have a better team. Sheffield is back, Matsui is back. Pitching is good.

Tito Soto
