INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked readers who they thought was the best Democratic candidate for the presidential primary.

"Dean would be the best candidate. I feel that he is qualified. I've heard what he has to
say about Medicaid and schools for children."

Dianna Diaz

"What I, and a lot of other Democrats wish, is for Hillary Clinton to run. She's a brilliant
woman. Some people say that they're not ready for a woman president, but all the women
would come out and vote for her."

Faith Martinez

"I've heard John Edwards, the senator from North Carolina, speak. He was very eloquent.
He has the look-- kind of like JFK -- that might appeal to the older democratic voters."

Manny Urban

"General Wesley Clark would make the strongest candidate. There's no way they can say
he's soft on defense. I just think he will have the best showing."

David Grant

"I really wish that Hillary would run. Otherwise, I'm looking at Dean and I'm waiting to
hear what General Clark has to say. The others are kind of dull to me, so far."

Harold Daniels
