INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked readers if they thought candidate Fernando Ferrer had a chance of unseating Mayor Bloomberg in November’s election.

“Bloomberg probably will win, but I don’t think he’s unbeatable. Ferrer has been successful in the Bronx, and he’s a good man. Maybe he will win, depending on the effectiveness of his political machinery.”

Edward Shafer

“Ferrer might have a chance — a slim chance. When he was the Bronx borough president, he did a lot for housing. Bloomberg is more … for rich people. Ferrer needs African-American votes to win.”

Edwin Cruz

“He doesn’t have a chance. Bloomberg has done a lot for us.”

Maria Rivera

““Mayor Bloomberg is the best choice. I don’t think Ferrer will change anything. For me it doesn’t matter if [the candidate] is Latino, or white, or black.”

Martin Androv Roumenov

“I don’t think he has a chance because of the money that is available to Bloomberg. The Hispanic voters are not going to come to the call. If they did, it would be great. We need so many things.”
