INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By Jules Ira Rubenstein

"What do you think about Little League Baseball after the recent Paulino All-Stars scandal?"

"The Little League of America has always been too competitive and that's why we won't participate with them. We're completely independent. The real shame here is that the father clearly knew what he was doing, the coach knew what he was doing. The coach has a history with Little League of America of violating the rules and by-laws, and I think Little League of America was responsible. It was asleep at the wheel. They should have known this. They absolutely need more supervision."

Don Bluestone, Mosholu Montefiore
Community Center Director

"Little League is too hard on the kids. Their parents are re-living childhood experiences through them. They're putting too much emphasis on the fact of winning, because they have wanted to win."

Lisa Valasquez

"There's too much pressure being put on the kids, and I think people take it just a little too seriously. I think they should change the structure a little, probably eliminate these big tournaments, then there wouldn't be so much pressure to win."

Doreen Gay

"The team shouldn't be punished for what one individual did. I don't believe in that. If they won third place, they should have kept third place. The little children are hurting more than their parents."

Hector Pena
