Luau Looniness

Ninety members of the Mosholu Montefiore Senior Center were treated to a sumptuous Hawaiian-style meal of pineapple chicken served by center staff on Aug. 14. Dan Asselta, pictured at left with community center Assistant Executive Director Bob Altman, won a straw hat in a free raffle. Altman relished the opportunity to get into the act, donning a straw skirt and lei to pose with Asselta. Later, the seniors danced to live Caribbean music. The event was the first program organized by new senior center director Cheryl Croce.
