INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked readers about their experiences during the blackout.

"I got stuck on the No. 4 train between183rd Street and Fordham Road. We got off and walked to the next stop. I live on the 39th floor of Tracey Towers, and I had to walk up [the stairs]. I got home, and there was no water. It was terrible."

Stephina Dansoh

"I have to use an electric device for my sleep apnea. I had to stay up long hours, as it
doesn't work with a backup battery. I stayed up until the morning."

Leonardo Vargas

"It was great seeing the way people were helping each other. Everybody fared well. It was nice to see everybody's positive attitude and wanting to help each other."

Adi Dalwar

"I was at my job in Manhattan, and we stayed there with the whole team waiting for the
power. I slept on the cement right in front of FOX News. There were bands playing around.
It was fun."

Peter Petrov

"Everything went very well. My son and I were fine. Everybody was sitting out, talking to each other, taking care of each other, giving each other water. We had no problems at all."
