INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked readers if they thought that senior drivers should be subject to more frequent testing.

"Re-certifying people every year or two after a certain age might be appropriate. There's
also younger drivers that are incompetent. It might be a good idea to also test the younger
drivers."

Kathleen Collins

"Competency should be tested, if it's going to be good for the safety of others. I think
that's important."

Carliso Espiritu

"It's a good thing to have them retested, especially for the eyesight, around age 65."

Judy Joseph

"You shouldn't let them drive if they're too old. Up to the age of 70 is enough. They
should take more tests."

Beeja Bujosa

"Seniors should be tested every six months starting at age 68. I saw in the news a 95-year-
old woman who was still driving. They should take her license away, because she does not
have the reflexes of a younger person."

Virginia Feliciano
