INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked readers if they like the city's idea to build a new west-side sports complex for the Jets football team.

"There are many other ways they can be using the money for resources for children ... like
a complex made for children. The stadium is just a waste of money."

David Martinez

"They should use the money to better the schools for the children instead of putting a
stadium up. That's what is needed."

Cardel Wilson

"They could invest that same money in the community. I don't think we should take my
money -- taxpayers' money -- and use it for a stadium. We have Yankee and Shea stadiums;
you've got enough congestion already."

Pastor Brenda Harris

"I don't think it's right for the government to use our money to build a stadium when we need money here for the hospitals, schools and Fire Department. The Jets owners have got  money as it is."

Luis Acosta

"It's wrong to use the taxpayers' money for private investments. There's still a lot of  people that need help. It may create jobs, but in the long run it's also going to create more
problems."

David Sanchez
