A Bronx Ball . . . and a Parade

Despite a storm, the stars came out for the I Love the Bronx Gala at the Bartow-Pell Mansion in Pelham Bay Park on June 21 along with 600 guests. Eight notables native to the borough were honored at the event -- which benefits the Bronx Tourism Council -- and inducted into the Bronx Walk of Fame on the Grand Concourse the next morning. 

Wrapping up Bronx Week was a parade and festival on June 22 along Mosholu Parkway. Community groups from all over the borough strutted their stuff along the parade route. Food and crafts were also for sale at the event.
