INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked our readers if the increasing unpopularity of the Bush administration could lead to a Democratic takeover of Congress in November.

I think it’s very possible. We’ve been through the hurricane – it wiped out a state – they didn’t do anything about it; they’re still down there in trouble. Now, they’re taking away money from New York for our terror protection. They’ve also got problems with the economy.

Clifton Burgess

For sure! Absolutely — no contest. Look at what we’ve got now.

Honey Chodan

I don’t know. I’m a registered Democrat, but they didn’t do so good in that election in California. They’re trying to get in power based on the weakness of the Bush administration rather than the strength of any programs that they’re going to put forward.

Alan Frazier

The Democratic Party has a chance, but I don’t know at this point. That’s my wish that they can take care of Congress. I don’t think both houses because the history of this country. None of the changes [in Congressional power] have been really dramatic. They are really slow.

Nelson Calderon

The non-cooperation with the president, the bickering and the Bush bashing. I think that Middle America will pick it up and [Congress] will not go back to the Democrats. The red states are going to take it.
