We asked readers on Mosholu Parkway if they feel New York State Governor George Pataki has earned a third term.

"I think he's done a very good job. I happen to be a Democrat, but I think I will vote for him. But I want to see what the other issues are at the time of voting."

Marylin Grossman

"I'm happy with whatever he's done so far. As far as law and order and things like that and the prosperity of the state."

Patrick Blake

"Absolutely. He deserves a third term. And whoever's running against him -- Cuomo or McCall -- neither one deserves to be there."

Stephen Culver

"Governor Pataki has some ideas that I like and some ideas that I don't like. I've been a Democrat most of my life, and I've gone over to Republicans when I thought they were right on something, but he is all for the landlords."

Murray Danzinger

"What I understood almost eight years ago was that Pataki wasn't going to run for a third term and I really wish people would keep their promises. As for the other two candidates running against him, I don't see anything spectacular they have done to really replace him."

Sirio Guerino
