INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked readers for their evaluation of Eliot Spitzer’s first two months as New York’s governor.

Even though I’m a Republican, I think he is an innovator. He wants to change Albany for the better.

Paul Birnbaum

I think he’s in the best interests of the working class people, more so than the Republican machine that has been in power the last 15 years.

Steve Bobker

So far, so good. I like him. You know he’s going to ruffle some feathers – that’s his job, right? He’s trying to take an entrenched philosophy and maybe shake it up a bit. I wish him the best.

Joe Curl

I work for the labor unions, and I know there’s a lot of disappointment going on with 1199 [a local labor union] – they’re very angry for cutting health costs. But it’s something to think about.

Phyllis Fishman

He’s been idealistic, which is good coming into office, but I feel he should have known – especially dealing with New York – the politics that were going to go on, like that committee set up to choose the comptroller and they overrode him.

Carl Rogers
