We asked residents whether they preferred schools at the armory, or a commercial/entertainment complex like the mayor is proposing.

"I would like to see more stores because it's an opportunity for young people to work. You're going to have a lot of jobs available."

"I think it's better to have a school. We need more schools more than anything else because we have a lot of children and overcrowded schools."

"I'd like to see the educational part of it. This is Fordham Road. We have enough shopping centers here. "

"I wouldn't mind seeing the armory turned into a bowling alley and a shopping center, but we really need schools. I think schools are more important."
