INQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHER

By JULES IRA RUBENSTEIN

We asked readers whether they thought President Bush distorted intelligence concerning weapons of mass destruction to justify war in Iraq.

"He just needed a reason to go to war. There was not enough evidence. I think getting
power over the oil was the reason for the war."

Nick Bassev

"He did have enough evidence. In the past, Saddam Hussein has tried many underhanded
things. I think it was worth him going in on probable cause."

Melanie Garcia

"I think he acted based on the information he had, and from what I understand, Saddam
Hussein was working on weapons of mass destruction. So we nipped him in the bud."

Dan O'Rourke

"There was a plan to go into Iraq since he became president, actually. This plan was from
way back when his father was president."

Alex Ramos

"They acted too quickly. They should have investigated this thing more slowly, because
they are never going to find weapons of mass destruction. He would have gone to war
any kind of way."
