I don’t think he’ll be recognized as the homerun
leader, because, unfortunately, Major League Baseball [took a]
silent stance – they knew that players were taking steroids. Most
likely, Barry Bonds is the most prominent of these and his record
will always be tainted.

The man is innocent until proven guilty, and I hope it turns out that
he’s innocent. Bonds’ record is good only if his steroid taking doesn’t
show up.

It’s definitely going to be tainted with the
steroid problem. It was a big disgrace. I would recognize a more
Babe Ruth-type of player.
Sylvia Kaye |

I do recognize it. That was a long time ago, it’s in the past and he
doesn’t have any more steroids in him [so] the record is legitimate,
definitely.

I think he’s great. Maybe he did, maybe he
didn’t – that I don’t know – but I know he’s great.
