SoBRO was recently awarded a $25,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Local Foods Promotion Program to determine the feasibility of integrating locally-sourced fruits, vegetables, and other products for restaurants that are members of the United Business Cooperative (UBC). SoBRO began working the a group of 40 immigrant-owned small restaurant owners to establish the UBC in the Spring
of 2014. The USDA grant will allow them to help the members to create and market healthier menus and the integration of locally produced foods.

Since its debut in October of 1994, BronxTalk hosted by Gary Axelbank, has been the flagship call-in talk show in the Bronx.  Bronxites have an opportunity to talk on the air with the borough's movers and shakers. Subjects covered include everything from neighborhoods to politics, education, crime, housing and a variety of other vital Bronx issues.
