Carrión said, "From Mott Haven to Riverdale and from Co-Op City to Pelham Parkway, the Bronx's 61 neighborhoods--each with a unique flavor and individual style are open for visitors to come, appreciate and enjoy."

The festivities include a massive lunchtime fitness workout on the steps of The Bronx County Building, and all-day Business Workshop for small to medium-sized businesses sponsored by Citibank, 3-hour Historic Landmarks bus tours with stops at The Hall of Fame for Great Americans, the Van Cortlandt House Museum and much more.

Carrión added, "From the seafaring community of City Island, to the historic neighborhood of Longwood, the borough's rich history and culture have inspired and captivated generations.  We invite everyone to come enjoy the many sights, sounds and tastes of these neighborhoods and others found in New York City's only U.S. Mainland borough."
