which measures the
critical role that non-health related factors like
education, employment, income and the environment play in
how healthy we are and how long we will live. Sadly, Bronx
County is ranked in last place or 62 out of 62.
In response to this, in order to improve the health outcomes
in the Bronx, Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. along with
others, have launched #Not62,

Bronx Vet Center
is proud to be hosting a Veteranís Photography Workshop
with the instruction program and resources provided by the
Josephine Herrick Project. Because this multiple week
workshop is being done at the Vet Center,
focused at combat veterans and their family members.
Potential members do not need to be registered with the VA
for medical care to join. The workshop is free and cameras
are provided, with the instruction coming from a
professional photographer. There will be an Open House on
March 30th from 5-7pm for potential members. It will be
an informal chance to meet the instructor and ask questions.
The actual workshop series will run every Wednesday for 8
weeks from April 20th- June 8th from 5-7pm at the
Bronx Vet Center. Information is on the
Period Now Open. NYCEDC is launching the Next Level
Bronx program to give small business owners the tools,
training, and networks to turn growth plans into action. We
provide customized training for business owners who have
in business for at least three years, have an annual
revenue of at least $250,000, and have at least one employee
besides the owner. This is a seven-month program that helps
participants emerge with successful, growth-oriented
business strategies. Key Dates: March 2016 - Kick-off
