SAGE (Services & Advocacy
for GLBT Elders)
SAGE has a vacancy for
Program Manager in our
downtown office in the LGBT
Center. The Program Manager
is an integral part of the
SAGE Community Services
Department, working out of
the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual
and Transgender Community
Center. The Program Manager
will be part of a team that
has overall responsibility
for SAGE group programming
produced at the LGBT
Community Center, with
social, educational,
supportive, volunteer,
outreach and advocacy
aspects.
Qualifications: The ideal
candidate will be an MSW
with at least 3-5 years
experience working within
the LGBT community and
working with seniors. The
candidate will have
experience leading and
facilitating groups and
coordinating and managing
volunteers. She or he will
have experience planning and
producing programming and
will know how to work in
partnership with others,
including other staff, peer
leaders, interns, volunteers
and colleagues from other
agencies. She or he will
have good ideas and the
energy and focus to carry
them out. A sincere and
committed desire to make
major contributions to the
older LGBT community is a
must. This position requires
flexibility around
scheduling. Some evening and
weekend hours required.
