Breastfeeding Study - Albert
Einstein College of Medicine
This is a 5-year NIH-funded
clinical trial of prenatal
care-based interventions to
increase breastfeeding in
low-income multiethnic
women. It is a full time
position, available
immediately.
Requirements: (ALL ARE
ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED)
* Bachelor’s in Psychology,
Health Education, Human
Services, or related
discipline
* Research study or
interviewing experience
* Bi-lingual in English and
Spanish (oral and written)
* Familiarity/comfort with
ACCESS data entry, accessing
electronic records, etc.
* Flexibility to include
some night/week-end
telephone interviewing
* Very strong organizational
and follow-up skills
Responsibilities: RA
will: approach pre-natal
patients in busy, women’s
health care practices in 2
Montefiore sites; recruit,
screen, and consent women;
conduct pre-natal baseline
interview; insert a prompt
into the site’s electronic
pre-natal record for
participants assigned to a
pre-natal care provider;
scan surveys into Teleform;
enter participants into
ACCESS database. RAs will
conduct the 1, 3, and 6
month post-partum follow-up
interviews. RAs will devote
up to 25% FTE to night and
week-end contacts.
