“SILVER”
DREAMS ON FORDHAM ROAD
Public Art Display on Fordham Road
FORDHAM ROAD, BRONX, NEW YORK
The Fordham Road Business Improvement District
(BID) is proud to announce the unveiling of
“Silver”, a ten foot tall sculpture of found and
recycled material. Created by Christian Marche,
a Bronx based artist, “Silver” was constructed
from refuse collected from New York City streets
and transformed into a sculpture. “Silver” was
installed this month on the South-side overpass
at the intersection of East Fordham Road and
Grand Concourse.

This work of art was made possible through a
partnership with the NYC Department of
Transportation’s (DOT) Urban Art Program along
with Barbara Bullard from the Al Johnson Art
Studio. Additional funding for “Silver” was made
possible with public funds from the Bronx
Council on the Arts through the New York City
Department of Cultural Affairs Greater New York
Arts Development Fund Regrants Program.
The BID will be hosting a future public press
unveiling of “Silver” with the artist in the
coming weeks. An additional notification will be
sent out that time.
The Fordham Road BID is a non-profit corporation
