Committee of
100 invites Bronx to their
Annual BBQ

The Committee of 100 Democrats will he
holding their 2nd Annual BBQ on Saturday, September 2nd
at 2PM. The event will be held at The Committee Offices at 212
Lizbon place (205th & Mosholu Pky S) from 2PM to 6PM.
Chairman Ricky Martinez would like to
invite the whole “Bronx community” to come and join them in
their community endives. “The purpose, like in the 1st
year, is to have the community network with their neighbors &
local elected officials. Last year over 100 community people
networked with their local officials, Assemblyman Jose Rivera,
Councilman Oliver Koppell & Community Board 7 Chairman Gregory
Faulkner. This year, we will be celebrating much more.
The Committee, in June, held a
successful 2000 petition, 9 North Bronx Neighborhood campaigns
for candidates in their respective North Bronx Neighborhoods.
Candidates are Congressman Jose’ Serrano & Congressman Eliot
Engel, Assembly people Naomi Rivera, Jeffrey Dinowitz & Jose
Rivera, State Senator Efrain Gonzalez & Attorney General Mark
Green.
Executive Director Anthony Rivieccio.
Dispated a successful 19 member committee covering areas in
Fordham, Kingsbridge, Bedford Park, Mosholu, Norwood,
Kingsbridge Heights, Van Courtlandt Village & Riverdale.
At 2:45PM, The Committee will introduce
their “petition captains” and at 3:00 will reintroduce their
slate to the local media and community. The Committee will be
providing FREE food & soda. Local entertainment will also be
provided by Reinsannce, a South Bronx Youth Group that have
performed at many Bronx events over the last year, including
opening at The Botanical Garden for Borough President Adolfo
Carrion during Bronx Day. For more information, please feel free
